From solar plants to Industry 4.0: ZGR solutions deployed in 2025 that have improved our customers’ energy efficiency

In an increasingly competitive market where energy efficiency is a decisive factor, ZGR Corporation has consolidated its position as a strategic partner for companies seeking long-term profitability and operational stability. Throughout 2025, we have continued working closely with our customers on customised power electronics solutions that have enabled them to maximise the return on their energy investments. The following success stories highlight the most relevant milestones reflected in our annual performance review.

Energy: profitability and stability in renewable generation

The financial viability of a photovoltaic asset is directly linked to its ability to inject energy into the grid continuously and reliably. One of the most significant milestones of 2025 was the deployment of the ZGR CTR 3000 inverter at the Buñol solar plant (2.68 MW). This project, together with the optimisation of the Eléctrica de Callosa plant (2.42 MW), confirms the robustness of our central inverter technology in ensuring that assets consistently operate at their maximum efficiency point.

ZGR ISLANDET: addressing low inertia in weak grids

Transmission grid instability has been one of the major challenges for renewable energy developers in 2025. Following several system instability events, the sector has shown strong interest in our ZGR ISLANDET solution, a pioneering technology specifically designed for the management of low-inertia and weak grids. This solution enables solar plants to remain stable even in environments with weak or fragile electrical infrastructure, minimising the risk of disconnections and ensuring that every watt generated is delivered to the grid.

Industry: electrical immunity and Power Quality

For sectors such as automotive manufacturing and healthcare (especially hospitals), a micro-outage is not merely a technical incident; it can translate directly into critical production losses or safety risks. In 2025, we strengthened our market position with DVR (Dynamic Voltage Restorer) systems—dynamic stabilisers that act as an invisible shield against grid disturbances.

Este año ha marcado además nuestra expansión en EE.UU. y Canadá con la homologación UL del nuevo DVR de 480 kVA, destinado a proteger la continuidad operativa de grandes Data Centers y la industria electrointensiva de la región.

This year also marked our expansion into the United States and Canada, following UL certification of the new 480 kVA DVR, engineered to ensure operational continuity in large-scale data centres and energy-intensive industrial facilities across the region.

Logistics  cotinuity and overvoltage mitigation

Logistics 4.0 automation requires impeccable voltage quality. Through the implementation of SEPEC equipment, ZGR has ensured uninterrupted workflows in logistics centres, effectively preventing malfunctions in automated sorting and material-handling systems.

In addition, the integration of end-of-line overvoltage correction solutions has enabled our industrial customers to reduce premature wear on equipment and machinery, extend asset lifetime, and lower costs associated with persistent power quality issues.

Training and Partnerships: the value of technical knowledge

In many cases, the effectiveness of a technical solution ultimately depends on the expertise of its operators. In 2025, we led international technical training programmes. Furthermore, our global strategic alliance with Schneider Electric has enabled ZGR solutions to reach an increasing number of locations worldwide, significantly expanding the scope of our specialised power quality support services.

Transmission and Distribution: smart rectifiers for substation digitalisation

ZGR Corporation is now a key partner for utilities in the modernisation of their assets. We have strengthened our collaboration with Iberdrola for the supply of 125 V smart rectifiers, a critical component in the digitalisation of electrical substations. These systems enable far more efficient and secure management of electrical distribution networks.

Technical Service: proactive maintenance and optimal equipment productivity

Electric mobility depends on a reliable power network. ZGR’s Technical Service has established itself as a key partner in the maintenance of critical railway infrastructure. The ZGR service team has ensured, for example, the operational continuity of signalling and traction systems, reinforcing the value of preventive maintenance as the most effective strategy for long-term operational sustainability.

ZGR’s commitment does not end with the delivery of custom-designed power electronics equipment. Our technical service framework provides customers with a comprehensive guarantee that each solution delivers optimal performance throughout its entire service life.

For instance, our technical team plays a critical role in ensuring the maximum productivity of central inverters and energy storage systems (ESS) in both photovoltaic plants and electrical substations. Leveraging this extensive field experience, they deliver the optimal solution for each specific case and operating context, establishing our service as a high-value differentiating factor for the company.

Horizon 2026: power electronics as the core of the system

This review of 2025 solutions confirms that ZGR Corporación goes beyond equipment manufacturing; we design and engineer the electrical architectures that enhance our customers’ competitiveness.

Looking ahead to 2026, we will continue to see how power electronics is no longer an auxiliary component of the electrical system, but rather one of its structural pillars. The convergence of the energy transition, industrial electrification, and increasingly demanding grids places ZGR technology at the centre of the strategies of major utilities, distribution operators, and energy-intensive industries.

In 2026, ZGR Corporación will continue to innovate and deliver cutting-edge solutions to the sector for dynamic grid management, ensuring stability and continuity of high-quality power supply in the most technically complex environments, both domestically and across international markets.
