Unión Fenosa Distribución (UFD) has awarded ZGR Corporación the supply of the direct current power supply systems for guaranteeing the operation of the auxiliary services in the automated medium voltage (MT) stations and lines such as: switching and distribution stations (SDS), transformer stations (TS), reclosers (REC) and overhead line switchgear (OLS) for the smart distribution grids.
The direct current secure power supply sources are necessary and essential elements in the automated Medium Voltage stations and lines to guarantee their operations and switching, as well as service continuity.
The successful bid with Unión Fenosa Distribución is valid until July 2024 and will cover around 80% of the total supply of the 48 VDC Power Supply Systems for their implementation in Medium Voltage Stations and Lines.
Unión Fenosa Distribución, interest in the new charger-rectifier developments
On this occasion, ZGR’s new power supply source development for managing Lithium Iron (LFP) battery charging is also included. This device is a step forward in the modernisation and automation of electricity grids and confirms ZGR’s commitment to constant innovation and to promote a more sustainable electricity grid.
En esta ocasión también se incluye el nuevo desarrollo de ZGR de fuentes de alimentación (cargadores – rectificadores) para gestionar la carga baterías de Litio Ion (LFP). Unión Fenosa Distribución and the other companies of the Naturgy Group have been working with ZGR Corporación for more than 20 years, both in the supply of these types of devices and others for their application in Smart Grids.
This contract with Unión Fenosa Distribución positions ZGR as a benchmark in innovative solutions in direct current power supply systems, and is also more competitive in price and technical functionalities.
