For ZGR this Project have special interest because it means access to Asian market which is a very demanding sector, where there is a great demanding need for our equipment. This first success case opens the door to other large industries in the area.
Advanced automative plants are highly specialized and require an extreme level of precision. These industrial environments are electro-intensive, with complex manufacturing processes from highly sophisticated automated and intelligent equipment, operating 24 hours a day.
Therefore, a Dynamic Voltage Stabilizer (DVR) is an essential part of a modern automative plant, as it protects against the most common electrical disturbances such as voltage drops, overvoltages, micro-breaks and phase unbalances. Its ultra-fast response time (in milliseconds) and continuous operation without the batteries need make it specially valuable to maintain continuity in critical processes such as welding or painting, as well as protecting sensitive equipment like robots, PLCs and variable frequency drives.
This translates into economic significant benefits by preventing unscheduled shutdowns, reducing material waste and avoiding damage to expensive equipment that is highly sensitive to electrical fluctuations, making it a strategic investment to ensure production quality and efficiency.
In the end, DVRs ensure a high quality, safe and reliable power supply. Specifically, in this plant in East Asia, 2 DVRs have been installed, one of 600 KVA and the other of 300 KVA to protect its production lines.

International coordination with Schneider Electric
We have been thanked by Schneider Electric team for the great support given by our technicians during the execution of the project, which has shown great international coordination.
“Shneider electric is one of our main customers and there is also a very good relationship between their technicians and ours, as we share the same culture of innovation and customer service. This Project was a challenge due to the levels of demand, however we are convinced of our DVRs efficiency and the high technical level of our team, because has been demonstrated. We hope it will be the beginning of other important projects in this industry, the automative industry, with very important growth rates”, says Jon Ander, Industry Director of ZGR corporation”.

ZGR DVR, the solution for the automotive industry
To ensure network quality in production processes and critical infrastructures, there are currently main solutions on the market: Dynamic Voltage Stabilizers (DVR) and industrial UPS (SEPEC).
Although the choice of one or the other depends on multiple factors, DVR are a very interesting option that is increasingly sought after to protect critical “loads” against electrical problems, such as unregulated voltages, voltage dips, fluctuations and “Flicker Effect”:
The main reason for this growing interest are:
- They do not require batteries, which eliminates replacement and maintenance cost, while ensuring continuous and reliable regulation.
- They require minimal maintenance, to ensure high productivity and operational reliability.
- They represent a competitive investment with low operating costs and high economic profitability.
- The are very heavy-duty equipment that in no case affect the operation of the loads (the active production lines).
- They are modular, which allows them to be scaled according to needs, from 150 KVA to 6 MVA.
- Their line voltage ranges from 200 V to 34,500 V, which means a wide spectrum of casuistry.
- They allow bi-directional power flow.
- Available in indoor and outdoor versions.
Collaboration with Schneider Electric
Since 2020, ZGR Corporation has been a worldwide supplier of Schneider Electric in industrial solutions, which are those based on voltage regulation and stabilization that improve the quality of power supply in industrial facilities.
As a result of this agreement and the positive relationship of ZGR with the different areas and delegations of the multinational, projects have been developed in different areas of the world such as Latin America (Mexico, Colombia, others) and Africa (South Africa, mainly), so that in ZGR we are prepared to provide solutions to the electrical needs that arise anywhere in the world, from technical audits and comprehensive proposals, to the design and manufacture of customized equipment, installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
