To avoid any impact in the stability of the grid ZGR implements in its inverters and PCS an innovative island detection system. It is a non-intrusive system designed to detect weak grid conditions or weak grids.

The differential elements of the 饾棴饾棜饾棩 饾棞饾棪饾棢饾棓饾棥饾棗饾棙饾棫 system are:

  • Non-intrusive system that avoids the commonly used method of positive feedback of a system variable (frecuency or voltage) which causes instability and negatively impacts grid quality.
  • It does not affect power factor & does not affect harmonic distortion.
  • Provides very low uncertainty in islanding detection, due to the significant difference in impedance between the load and the electrical grid.
  • The active power output is non-pulsating under unity power factor (脴=0), which is the standard operating condition, and only sighty pulsating under other power factor angles (when generating reactive power), improving the utilization of solar cells.
  • It enables parallel connection of equipments (inverters or BESS) to enhance the robustness and stability of weak or isolated grids generated by third parties, without compromising their stability.
