Energy and economic efficiency for today’s smart communities through integrated multi storage technologies

NETfficient develops a sustainable energy management system, thanks to the integration of intelligent energy storage systems and advanced electrical distribution technologies. The project is carried out on the island of Borkum (Germany), located in the North Sea. Its main objective is to provide solutions for more efficient use of renewable energy and help reduce CO2 emissions, as well as reduce dependence on fossil fuels. From the generation of energy to the consumption by the end user, NETfficient will address all phases or steps of the energy value chain, involving interest groups that can benefit from the project, legislators, local governments and / or Autonomous as well as citizens, to facilitate the adoption of innovative distributed energy storage systems in the electricity market
