Research and Development of an advanced microgrid model with electrical energy storage for distribution networks

The growth of large wind and solar generation facilities, reaching penetration percentages in grid generation of over 20%, requires higher levels of management (dispachability) for these resources in order to be able to coexist with traditional generation, guaranteeing the new grid stability requirements (grid codes) derived from this hybridisation of the new generation matrix.
The products resulting from the development of this project will definitively position ZIGOR within the microgrid and storage market. These products will serve as guiding elements for the various types of storage solutions for distribution networks. A multi-megawatt solution that can be integrated into microgrids will be consolidated. The potential of such solutions is foreseen for both domestic and export customers.
