THE ZGR UPS GUARANTEES THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE SWITCHBOARD OF THE 112 EMERGENCY CALL CENTRE OF THE GOVERNMENT OF CANTABRIA
The installed solution is a three-phase UPS from the INFLUENCE range. Its topology is online double conversion, which allows it to detect the smallest grid fault and act immediately. There is no transfer time between the UPS detecting the fault and intervening to solve it The equipment stabilises the quality of the input wave, and provides a pure output sine wave. This type of wave is perfect for protecting the electronics downstream of the UPS. Furthermore, If a cut or microcut occurs in the electricity supply, the ZGR INFLUENCE provides a backup by means of batteries to ensure the normal operation of the 112 telephone line.
ZGR, as a business group specialising in the design, manufacture, implementation and maintenance of robust, reliable and highly productive solutions for the integrated management of electrical energy, it works with numerous customer profiles in all sectors of economic activity.
One of these sectors is the Public Administration and its various critical social service care entities for citizens. Thus, for example, ZGR provides technical support to the 112 Emergency Call Centre of the Government of Cantabria. 112 is the emergency and disaster number, which integrates the connection and the response of the different rescue teams, police, etc. at a single number.
ZGR ADAPTS THE SOLUTIONS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CUSTOMER AND EACH PROJECT
For the case of this Call Centre, ZGR has developed, together with the HidroCantabria distributor, a solution based on UPS equipment from the ZGR INFLUENCE range with double conversion and 20 KVA power with three-phase input and output.
Jon Ander, responsible for business development in industry, summarises it as follows: “This UPS based solution guarantees the electrical quality and supply of a call centre that can never be disconnected. The life of a citizen may be in danger and it requires immediate attention. A 112 emergency telephone is the clearest example of why we say ZGR is a critical company for essential services.”
As in all its projects, ZGR adapts the solution to the needs of the customer and to each project. On this occasion, the solution seeks to protect the Emergency Call Centre from all types of faults arising from the electricity supply. For this, it uses an online double conversion UPS device, which continuously stabilises the voltage and, in case of fault, provides a backup of 30 minutes autonomy. These devices are designed to protect the installations for 24-hours, 365 days of the year.
The 20 KVA UPS INFLUENCE covers voltage dips, cuts and microcuts downstream of possible overvoltages. And it always provides a stable voltage and frequency output.
