ZGR participates in the EIDER project, aimed at deploying Edge Computing functionalities in the MV and LV power grid
Thanks to its progress, the EIDER collaborative project will introduce governance mechanisms for information channels and the integration of prosumers into the network.
ACTION CO-FUNDED BY THE BASQUE GOVERNMENT (DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENT) AND THE EUROPEAN UNION THROUGH THE EUROPEAN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND (ERDF) 2021-2027
The R&D project ” Investigación y desarrollo en datos y arquitecturas de redes eléctricas para la mejora de visibilidad de red e integración de prosumidores”, carried out by ZIGOR CORPORACIÓN S.A, has been co-funded by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027.
EIDER codenamed project aims to research digital technologies for the development of products/systems that allow the deployment of Edge Computing architecture functionalities in the Medium and Low Voltage power grid nodes, thus increasing their visibility and control, enabling to introduce governance mechanisms in the information sources and integrating prosumers in the grid.
This is a multi-year (2024-2026) strategic industrial research collaboration project in which the following entities and/or agents of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network are involved: ACLARA METERS, S.L. (coordinator), AYESA IBERMATICA S.A.U., INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS, S.L., ORMAZABAL MEDIA TENSIÓN, S.L.U., AVENIDA ELECTRICA EXPONENCIAL S.L.U., ZIGOR CORPORACION, S.
