Design and development of a battery charger-rectifier for the electrical sector
The fundamental objective of the project is the design and development of a battery charger-rectifier for the electrical sector that considers, from the design phase, an architecture geared towards minimising the exposure of these types of devices to potential threats, as well as being able to meet the new standards in cyber security that set the market trends, such as IEC 62443-4-2 and IEC-1686.
Objectives:
- To improve the security of electrical equipment and installations (secure architectures)
- To implement secure communication protocols in the equipment
- To improve event recording
- To define and develop a firmware update process
- To define and implement a concept test in a real environment for a set of representative usage cases
- To provide recommendations based on the results of the project to the regulators and operators of the electrical system
